About the Tour
What would you do if your home were suddenly overrun by fighting soldiers? Would you stay? Would you flee? What would you take with you? Would your home be damaged? Would you survive?
Gettysburg's civilians came face to face with all of these questions, and more, during the Battle of Gettysburg from July 1-3, 1863. Join us on a walking tour and find out how they managed in the face of overwhelming difficulties.
The Friends is pleased to offer this neighborhood walking tour that takes a closer look at the southern part of Gettysburg, which was caught between the northern and southern troops as they fought for their positions during the battle of Gettysburg.
Please note that reservations are non-refundable.
