The Friends' volunteers are the reason behind our accomplishments. Without this dedicated group, our battlefield work would not be possible. To date, the Friends has donated more than 15,000 volunteer hours to the National Parks at Gettysburg.

Some volunteer projects have included:

•  Painting fences at McLean, Klingle, Codori, Blocher, Spangler, and Sherfy farms

•  Painting barns/outbuildings at McPherson, Codori, Klingle, and Spangler farms

•  Recreating historic fences at the Spangler farm, Codori-Trostle farms, and along U.S. Avenue

•  Painting headstones and fences at the Soldiers National Cemetery

•  Earthworks survey

•  Sherfy Peach Orchard Program

•  SOS Monument Survey
