"Gettysburg's Enduring Controversies: A Panel Discussion"

featuring

Gettysburg National Military Park ranger-historian

John Heiser

and Licensed Battlefield Guides

Renee MacLachlan, Sue Boardman and Rich Kohr

Join us as these Gettysburg experts discuss and debate some of the battle's most popular controversies:

-- Which Union general deserves the most credit for choosing Cemetery Hill as the fall back position?

-- Was Longstreet acting appropriately on July 2?

-- Should A.P. Hill have been ordered to help Ewell "take that hill"?

-- Did Chamberlain actually issue an order to fix bayonets or to perform a left wheel?

Some of these controversies will be explored on the field, and there will be time for you to ask your own questions!
