More than 200 Friends' volunteers participated in the Annual Volunteer Workday this Saturday at Gettysburg National Military Park--despite driving rains and cool temperatures.
Plans originally called for the volunteers to complete several projects, including building Virginia worm fences and post-and-rail fences and painting several structures and fences. Due to the bad weather, the Virginia worm fences were the only project that could be worked on. But the Friends' volunteers, as always, pulled together and completed the task!
The next Volunteer Workday will be in June 2005. If you would like information about this event, please call 717-334-0772
