About Us Get Involved The Rupp House 3 Days in July Quartermaster Press

The Friends is committed to educating people about the battle of Gettysburg and helping them understand the impact of the battle on American history and identity. It is only through understanding the events that happened in Gettysburg that people are able to realize the importance of preserving the battlefield and its memory for future generations.

As part of its commitment to education, the Friends has worked on the following projects:

•  Junior Ranger Program at GNMP

•  Junior Secret Service Program at ENHS

•  Traveling Trunk Program

•  GNMP National Satellite Broadcasts

•  GNMP Living History Program

•  Educational Events

•  Rupp House History Center

•  New Museum and Visitor Center at Gettysburg National Military Park (opened April 14, 2008)
