The Friends donated a rare 1861 German enlistment poster (in the exhibit case above) to Gettysburg National Military Park. The poster can be seen in the new museum at Gettysburg National Military Park (Photo: Michael Vyskocil/Gettysburg Foundation).

The Friends is committed to helping the National Parks at Gettysburg acquire and preserve relevant artifacts that help illustrate Gettysburg's place in American history. After acquiring a relevant artifact, the Friends donates the item to the museum at the Gettysburg National Military Park or the Eisenhower National Historic Site.

•  Lt. William Fisher Collection

•  Numerous Broadsides, both Confederate and Union

•  Matching funds for the “Save America’s Treasures” grant providing necessary dollars for critically important staff, archival shelving, textile treatment, and artifact preservation materials which ensured the rescue and appropriate storage of priceless GNMP artifact treasures
