GRAND OPENING Celebration

Join us on Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27 for exciting events as we celebrate the grand opening of the Museum and Visitor Center at Gettysburg National Military Park. The newly conserved Gettysburg Cyclorama will debut to the public in its new gallery in the Museum and Visitor Center. It's an experience you won't want to miss.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2008

RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY-11 a.m.

So many people were involved in building the new Museum and Visitor Center for Gettysburg National Military Park. The ribbon cutting ceremony marks the official beginning of Grand Opening Weekend and gives us another opportunity to recognize our donors and the thousands of Americans who have supported our efforts. The ribbon cutting ceremony is open to all Friends members and the general public.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2008

"PARTY LIKE IT'S 1863" GALA-7 p.m.

In period costume or cocktail attire, guests can celebrate the new Museum and Visitor Center in style. View the Cyclorama painting, explore the museum galleries, sample fine 19th-century cuisine or just kick up your heels at a museum-wide party that promises to be one for the history books.
