Friends Photo Contest Rules

To celebrate the Friends of Gettysburg's 25th Anniversary, we are calling on our members to participate in a photo contest! Winners of the contest will be featured in the 2015 Friends of Gettysburg calendar.


Who is Eligible?


Friends of Gettysburg Members, 12 years of age and older.

Gettysburg Foundation employees and their relatives may not enter the contest.

What Are the Image Requirements?

Images may only be submitted in JPEG format with a minumum of 5 MB.

Members must obtain the rights to any submitted photos.

Images can be of Gettysburg National Military Park and Eisenhower National Historic Site only.

Photos of individuals will not be accepted.

Photos with watermarks or other advertisements embedded in them will not be accepted.

Photos must be submited through the Friends of Gettysburg Tumblr site, with the tag #Friends25photo.

Members may submit up to 5 photos.

How do I submit a photo?

Click on the "Submit" button in the page header.

Upload your JPEG photo and include your name, member # and title of photo in the caption section.

Click to include Friends25photo tag.

Do I need to create a Tumblr account to upload a photo?

No.

When is the Entry Deadline?

The contest closes on July 1, 2014.

Who will Judge the Photos?

Judging will be completed by selected Gettysburg Foundation staff and/or board members.

When Are the Winners Announced?

Winners will be announced on September 1, 2014 and will be featured in the 2015 Friends of Gettysburg calendar.

By entering the Friends photo contest, members give the Gettysburg Foundation permission to use the photos in newsletters, electronic or printed promotional materials and press releases. Participants agree that the Gettysburg Foundation and its employees are not to be held liable for any issues, losses or actions that arise from or related to the Gettysburg Foundation photo contest, including third party claims of copywright infringement. The Gettysburg Foundation reserves the right to modify, suspend, end or prolong the photo contest without notice.
