Volunteer Work Day

Join the Friends of Gettysburg for a full day of battlefield preservation at Gettysburg National Military Park. Participants will work alongside fellow Friends members as they complete projects determined by the National Park Service Maintenance Team. Work assignments vary each year, but include the following categories: building and painting fences throughout the battlefield, detail painting or cleaning headstones in Soldiers' National Cemetery at Gettysburg, or clearing brush throughout the battlefield.
Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. at the National Park Service Maintenance Facility located at 405 Taneytown Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325. Lunch will be provided for all participants at 12:00 p.m. at the National Park Service Maintenance Facility.
Following the Work Day, a National Park Service Ranger will provide an informative program at 3:00 p.m. Information on the program will be available at registration.
Registration fee: $12.00 per person
Optional 2015 Volunteer Work Day t-shirt: $15.00 each
