New this year – the Fall Muster will be held at the Wyndham Gettysburg Hotel, 95 Presidential Circle, Gettysburg. Also new this year – hotel rooms have been reserved for you at the Wyndham Gettysburg Hotel. They are offering members a special rate of $120 plus tax. We are again excited to offer two new evening programs. On Friday evening you can join your fellow Friends members as Licensed Battlefield Guide Bobby Housch will present a program on civilian deaths in the Gettysburg area before and after the Battle of Gettysburg. On Saturday evening, sit back and relax and be serenaded by local musician Tom Jolin.
In addition to our two evening programs we are proud to offer you this year’s Fall Muster programs. This year we have three all-day programs! Continuing our series of Day 1 and Day 2 we are offering – Day 3. Join LBG Jim Hessler as he examines the action on Day 3 on Cemetery Ridge. In conjunction with our commemoration of the 150th Anniversary, LBG Gar Phillips will be offering an all-day walking tour focusing on the area that will be the Friends’ primary volunteer focus over the next several years. Of course we have indoor programs and half day programs as well. Please see the schedule for a complete list of programs.
As an added benefit, we are again pleased to offer our members a special registration fee! This special rate is for current members only – if you have any questions about your membership, please contact the member services department at 717-339-2159.
Since many Friends’ tours require the physical capacity to walk difficult battlefield terrain we have worked with our presenters to rate their programs by difficulty: easy, moderate or strenuous. Please keep in mind that these are guidelines and most of our programs entail a good deal of walking and standing (which we know most of you look forward to!). Don’t forget to bring your hiking shoes, camp chairs, and a bottle of water and foul-weather gear "just in case." All tours will proceed rain or shine!

To register for the 2011 Fall Muster, please download the registration form and payment, $80 per person for current members and $100 per person for non-members, to arrive no later than October 14, 2011.
For faster registration, you’re welcome to register online below. Please be sure to separate your tour choices (both am and pm) by a comma (ie. #5, #7, #3, # 6) Even if your preferred tours fill up, we hope you’ll still plan to join us for this fabulous event! Remember to get your registration in early, as tours fill up quickly! All registrations will be confirmed by mail.
Registrations must be received by Oct. 14, 2011. Cancellation Policy: There will be a cancellation charge of $30 per person if you cancel after Sept. 30, 2011. No refunds after Oct. 7, 2011. Friday and Saturday evening programs are non-refundable.
