An Adams Seminar is a full-day program consisting of a half-day indoor lecture and a half-day battlefield tour. Program begins at 9 a.m. in the Ford Education Center Classroom of the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center. A boxed lunch is available at an additional charge of $12.00. Please indicate in the Comments Box below a preference of ham, roast beef, turkey, or vegetarian sandwich.
This program will focus on the actions of the Union Artillery on July 2nd along both the Cemetery Ridge line and Sickles advanced position. The two-mile battlefield tour will consist of some uneven terrain with a few hills. Sturdy shoes are recommended for off road terrain on the moderate-strenuous tour. Recommended reading includes: “Gettysburg the 2nd Day” by Harry Pfanz and “The Guns at Gettysburg” by Fairfax Downey.
