An Adams Seminar is a full-day program consisting of a half-day indoor lecture and a half-day battlefield tour. Program begins at 9 a.m. in the Ford Education Center Classroom of the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center. A boxed lunch is available at an additional charge of $12.00. Please indicate in the Comments Box below a preference of ham, roast beef, turkey, or vegitarian sandwich.

The Rose Woods, Stony Hill and Wheatfield fighting on July 2, 1863 at Gettysburg may be the most confused fighting of the entire battle. Four of the seven union corps were involved in those three and a half hours of sustained fighting. Counting both Northern and Southern forces, sixteen brigades, 68 regiments, and over 21,000 men fought in, around and through the Wheatfield area. The Wheatfield changed hands six times and ended July 2nd as a no man's land between two armies with over 6,000 killed and wounded men remaining in the Wheatfield and surrounding woods. This program will walk you through Rose Woods, Stony Hill and the Wheatfield fighting on a minute to minute basis; clarifying in detail what went on that bloody afternoon. The walk will be moderate, less than a mile and a half with some uneven woods and small inclines to traverse.
